Ooo, Our Obelisk!!

In our company, there are workers that play the role of architect, interior design, quantity surveyor and construction manager. Our different roles help us in doing construction where the plan, design, calculation and construction process can be managed according to the workers' expertise field. We have the same dynamic which is to initiate development where people can live comfortab ly at the same time minimizing destruction to nature. We hope to trigger the
country's economy and create awareness about preservation of nature.


Design Principles
We are using environmental friendly materials which are easy to obtain and recyclable. The base of our obelisk is made of bigger bamboo stick. this bamboo is chosen because it can support the weight of the needle and cube. The needle is also made of bamboo where we divide the structure into 2 parts. This is to ensure the stability of our structure. We choose to design the needle in pyramid shape because it brings the uniqueness of ancient heritage- the pyramid in Eg ypt.

This is obelisk proposal before we construct the real obelisk.We have discuss on the company name, company motto and design principles.We have to plan well before we start to do our obelisk.

Measure, cut and bend the bamboo stick into parts in my room.Its required a lot of energy to do this task especially when we bend and tie up the bamboo stick.Hence, everyone of us complain because our hands were pain.

Fix the shape of the obelisk by using masking tape.After that, only we tie up the bamboo by using rope.

Here are my group members, Pui Yeen, Lai Sim and Xin Y ee.This task required a lot of teamwork and cooperation among group members.

I am cutting bamboo stick into few parts at studio 100.

Pui Yeen was teaching us how to tie up the big bamboo stick.

Here we done the 2 parts of the obelisk.We separate it into two parts because this can ensure the stability of our structure.

Since we have to present a white solid obelisk.Therefore, we decided to use white fabric to cover the surface of the obelisk.Hence, we sew the fabric onto the bamboo by ourselves although we were not "PRO" in this field.


We are on the way to Pusat Pengajian HBP.

Finally, the obelisk was done.However, we still need to join the obelisk before presentation.

On 12 August 2009, Encik Wan was giving us a briefing on obelisk presentation.He had shown us the site of placing obelisk.Furthermore, he also explain to us how to place a obelisk.

After briefing, we need to register from developer.This is the form that we need to fill in.


All groups were gather at Dataran Merah to register.


After registration at Dataran Merah. We were taking photo with our Obelisk.

We were removed our Obelisk to site 2.

Here is the site 2 where my group have to ensemble our OBELISK.

This is my group obelisk at Site 2 where situated near Sungai Dua gate.

My group members searching and estimate for the middle point to place the obelisk.We have to do it manually since we have no such long long ruler.

Mark the exact place and place the Obelisk on the ground.

Here was the final obelisk of my group.We need to ensemble the obelisk for 4 days until the end of the convocation.I hope that the obelisk won't fall down until the end.

INTENTION

Intention is a determination to act in certain way.

One must first have the knowledge which can support the idea.

The idea can be Explicit-Implicit, Good- Bad and many more.

For example : Earn more money, study and get good result.

ACT

Act is the process of work out an activity or perform something either it can be seen or not.

PRODUCT

Product is the something that is produce by human or mechanical effort.

It can be physically, mentally or spiritually.

ACTOR

Actor is someone who act or perform something.

It can be individual, institute, producer, publisher or manufacturer.

RULES

Rules is the limit that have been set by authority.

It can be natural or man-made.

Natural rules is gravity or man-made.

Man-made rules can be religion, cultural, universal, law and so on.

SITE

Site is a place which located on the earth surface.

It can be real (land, window and road) or virtual (website, game and language).

IDEA OF PRODUCTION

Intention: I want to know more and learn about the personal website so that I can post everything about me on the website especially sharing and conveying my knowledge and what I have understand in the class with others.

(Actor) -- Me myself (individual). I am the main character who plays the most significant role in creating this website by publishing, posting, uploading photo and editing. I will always maintain and update my website so that everyone can access to my website with the latest information.

Act: Therefore, I was searching for the information of creating website through online. For instance, I have search about “free web hosting” from Google. Furthermore, I also get to know more by asking my friends whose are expert and have a lot of experiences in this field. I have learned a lot from them

(Rules) -- I found out the way to create a website without breaking the rules. I need to follow the rules that have been set so that I won’t be charged by the authority. For example, plagiarisms are not allowed in the website. Furthermore, there are 5 rules of website design.

1. The website should be easy to read and understand.

2. The website should be easy to find.

3. Make navigation easy.

4. Content must be clearing, interesting, relevant and simple.

5. Always update your site.

Product: Finally the website (virtual construction) has been created with a name of RAG 132 and can be accessed by anyone. I have post what I have learned and understand in the class RAG132 and also some relevant and interesting pictures in the website. I am choosing a dark blue background with small dots behind. The name of the template is “Dots Dark”.

(Site) -- Internet is a global system and worldwide communication for humans nowadays. I can easily create a website by accessing internet. The Internet carries a vast array of information, resources and services. Internet is really a convenient site and makes all things easy.
